Family Summer Pool Party

We went to the Lyon family summer pool party at Grandma and Grandpa's condo.  It was SO FUN!  Aunt Joanne picked up a bunch of kids blow up toys for the kids and Addison fell in love with this dinosaur.  She hugged and kissed and danced with him all around the deck.  But she didn't want to have anything to do with him in the pool!  She's such a funny girl...

The little miss is just totally independent and so she doesn't really love pools that aren't zero entry where she can go where she wants to go and swim by herself.  She did let us take her out a few times - but mostly she stayed close to the steps and would just jump off them and then swim back with the help of her floaties and a guiding hand. 

Since Papa is her favorite and he wasn't in the pool she spent a lot of time playing at the steps with him!

She's a fearless jumper and would go flying off the edge.  Oliver and Nick both jumped off the edge with her in their arms (without the floaties) and I didn't approve at all because she was under for longer than I preferred.  She also got chucked into the shallow end by her Papa, but - she isn't afraid and loves to be in the water - and those are all very important...so I try to not stress too much.
