Take 1

Our church Christmas party was on Friday night - it was Addison's first encounter with Santa this season. Last year - at a mere 4 months old - she really didn't have much of an opinion. This year we started by walking over while everyone else was visiting with Santa and sitting real close. We waved, pointed, stood up, and sat down for at least 10 minutes.

When all the other primary kids had finished with their turns Addison got her goodie bag from Santa. She'd been eying them all night and was really happy to have a gift.

But then, mom slyly plopped her right on Santa's lap and it was frightening...

She lived through the terrifying experience and we will definitely try again this holiday season.

It's also awesome that Addison is too young to realize that I left her goodie bag on the table right where it came from :) I just don't need pencils and tiny erasers and stickers for her to "play" with (chew on).

Haha! This is so cute! It looks like she's feeling better, too.

I love that you took it slowly to have her close - santa can be a really creppy person to approach. Its sad when parents totally plop their poor kids on some strangers lap. good call. BTW I got the book you recommended on sleep. It's been reallly helpful
